Dr. Ramakrishna Easwaran is a well-known neurosurgeon who has been in private practice of neurosurgery in Trichy for the last 24 years. He obtained 3 Gold Medals as an undergraduate student in St. John's Medical College Bangalore. He was the Best Outgoing Student of his batch that finished neurosurgery in 1988 from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences Bangalore. After working as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at St. John's Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore for 2 years, he took up private practice of neurosurgery in Tiruchirappalli. He has pioneered microsurgery for brain and spine disease in Tamilnadu. He has done over 10000 operations in his career. He was the past Assistant Editor of the prestigious journal, Neurology India. He has been the resource person for a number of continuing medical education programs all around the country in the field of brain and spine surgery
